About Angie
Angie hails proudly from the coastal town of Savannah, Georgia, refreshingly bringing her southern charm and genuine love & enthusiasm for fitness – right into the heart of Beverly Hills, California. With over 20 years of teaching experience in the fitness industry, Angie effectively combines her experience as an “eye of the tiger” competitive athlete and as a “peaceful warrior” yogi into her popular style of teaching.
Angie “seamlessly weaves elements of athleticism, discipline, strength, flexibility, and grace” into each challenging one-on-one training session and group class. Clients marvel at her “x-ray vision” into the musculoskeletal system and in her ability to cue them into “engaging the appropriate muscles” for each movement.
Athletic Experience
Having been a competitive athlete since the age of 6, Angie learned how the body can perform most efficiently and effectively firsthand. Coupled with her athletic experience – swimming, running, volleyball, basketball and ballet – ultimately earning her a 4-year Cross Country Running Scholarship to Georgia Southern University is her extensive educational background.
Educational Experience
Angie holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer. Through NASM she also holds the Optimum Performance Training Certification for the Prenatal Client. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher and has subsequently earned yoga specialty teacher training certifications in Yoga for Kids and in Pre/Postnatal Yoga.
Daily Bread
Currently Angie personal trains dozens of clients daily and teaches yoga on regular basis in Beverly Hills and in the surrounding Los Angeles area. Her creation of Runner’s Yoga 90210™ allows her to travel with Lululemon Athletica, where she is an Elite Ambassador, to numerous Marathons and events to help bring yoga to runners all over the world. Angie also consults with other high profile companies such as Parent Company Coca-Cola, for Smartwater, Minute Maid Orange Juice and Everyday with Rachael Ray Magazine.
Life, Love, & Family”
Recently in October 2010, Angie married her best friend and man of her dreams at a beautiful beachfront wedding ceremony in her hometown. What is most important to Angie is her family, friends and her belief in sharing the gifts she has been given – “brightening paths, lightening loads and lifting hearts through fitness.” To know Angie, is to know someone who is truly passionate about LIFE, lending a hand and using fitness as a vehicle to help others lead happier, healthier and more productive lives. When Angie puts her mind to doing something, there is NOTHING she cannot do.
Angie has volunteered hundreds of hours throughout the world, bringing yoga and fitness to Roatan, Honduras, the Phoenix Fire Department, Venice, California’s Coeur d’Alene Elementary school, the El Hogar Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico and the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles and most recently to Los Angeles Animal Services – West LA Shelter – where she walks shelter dogs and volunteers for mobile pet adoptions.
Her favorite post meal workout? Cheese grits anyone?

There are as many reasons for running as there are days in the year, years in my life. But mostly I run because I am an animal and a child, an artist and a saint. So, too, are you. Find your own play, your self-renewing compulsion, and you will become the person you are meant to be.
